My Forerunner 920xt is having issues:
1. Last week (week of 11/25/2025) the watch froze. It froze on the watch face and none of the buttons would work. I could not power cycle it, plugging it into the charger did not affect it and plugging it into my computer did not affect it. I basically had to wait until it ran out of battery then stick it on the charger and let it recharge. It seem to work fine after that but now its exhibiting issue #2.
2. The watch works but now a couple of times a day it says there is an update available that will take 1 minute to install. I hit enter to accept the update and it says update failed. I then get a screen that says 'update failed try again' and ' done' is highlighted. I hit enter and the watch returns to normal operation until several hours later when this happens again.
3. I have a windows 23H2 Build 22631.3007 the system recently update Garmin Express to version 7.27.1+a4aede77 (updated on 11/28/2025). When I plug my watch into the computer with Garmin Express running, Express fails to see my watch. I have tried different USB ports both on my dock and on my laptop. I have also tried powering off and rebooting everything. In every instance the watch is recognized by the computer (since it opens the file explorer showing the watch like a thumb drive, it has always done this) but not by Express. When Garmin Express fails the first search attempt a screen pops up asking 'what are you trying to add?' I then select the 'Forerunner Series' square I follow the instructions and hit the search button again and it fails again and I am stuck in this loop.
