Over the years, Garmin users have already asked multiple times about providing Linux support for the Garmin Express software. I am kindly asking once more to consider creating a Linux application. In one of the forum posts, a ridiculous reply from Garmin was placed noting that it would require developing the software for multiple Linux versions. A bunch of nonsense, and exactly what Microsoft wants you to believe to keep bending down to the ad-infested Windows operating system.
You can package a Linux application using Flatpak, which is a universal packaging format. And can then be placed inside the Flathub store. Even more universal would be AppImage, these can run even if your Linux distro has no Flatpak installed.
More and more people are starting to migrate from Windows to Linux, even if it's mostly the technically inclined folks. That doesn't mean we should be ignored completely.
And even if a Linux version of the application is still not considered, why does it even need an application anyway?
It would make way more sense to me to just let us download maps from the website from Garmin directly and then copying them over to our devices. Makes way more sense really.
