unable to connecto to garmin express. Any known sollution?

Since last Garmin express update, Watch no longer is recognized. Previously was working well and connecting seconds after watch was connected to the PC.

Allready uninstalled and re installed (with reboot in between), removed watch to try to ad afresh.

Garmin express doesn't "see" the watch. Used only Garmin Cables (tried 2 different cables) and tried different ports.

All answers sseem to be several years long.

SO: Windows home 11 Version 23H2

Garmion express is Version 7.25.0 +a13e85b4

Watch is Fénix 7 pro solar software 21.06 Beta

  • Hi!, thank you for the hint, but already followed all of the steps. Express still doesn't see the watch. Everything was working propperly before the last Garmin express update which happened to me a couple of days before. Previously I had connected the watch maybe 2weeks before and everything was OK, as alwas has been.

    Additional info which may or may not be relevant:

    In the PC setting, under "Other Devices" when I plug it in, It appears a "Garmin USB GPS" device with the green marker

    The watch does not appear as an external Drive, and if I remember correctly, it never did, even when it was working well.

    Again, in the watch face, the little battery symbol appears when plugged in, but the usb icon doesn't. It never did, even when it was working propperly.

    Is there some repository where I can fetch the previous version of Garmin Express and try that?

  • Garmin does not maintain a publicly available repository of old versions.  This is the direct link to Garmin Express 7.23 on Filepuma (I don't find 7.24 there).  https://www.filepuma.com/download/garmin_express_7.23.0-40707/download/

    I have also seen reports of older versions being available on FileHippo (filehippo.com) although caution is advised there due to reports that they attempt to include other programs in the download.
