Hello Garmin forum users,
I have an issue with Garmin Express continuing to notify me that there's a "map update available" on my device, even though the maps are up to date on the device.
My set-up:
- Garmin Express (v 7.25.0+a13e85b4)
- eTrex Touch 35t (V4.50)
- Lenovo ThinkBook 13s-IML Windows-10 Business (V22H2 19045.5608 64-bit).
Everytime I connect the device to my laptop and open Garmin Express, there's a queue notification of "Map Update Available" (TopoActive Europe 2024.20). The maps are already installed in the internal memory (East v24.20 gmapprom.img; West v 24.20 d6185150a.img) and external Micro SD 32GB (Central v24.20 d9486040a.img).
I also happen to have eTrex Touch 25 (v4.50, with TopoActive Europe 2024.20 maps) and this device doesn't get this issue. When Touch 25 is connected to my latptop, Garmin Express gives me "up to date" and doesn't notify the map as it would with Touch 35.
To troubleshoot, I have done the following:
- Re-installed the map via Express multiple times (approx 2hrs process each time!)
- Deleted activity history on the device via Express
- Disconnected the device from my Garmin account on Express and Connect (both mobile and web)
- reformatted micro SD (to FAT32), and repeated the map installation via Express
I would like to ask for some help in troubleshooting this as I have ran out of actions that I can do to clear the queue "map update available" each time I connect the device on Express.
Does anyone have any advice / suggestions to resolve this, please?
