User name Garmin Express not recognizing user name and password

I installed Garmin Express on my new laptop and when trying to sync my watch I was asked for my user name and password. I entered it but I get the message that the user name/password are wrong all the time. I am using my Garmin Connect user name and password.

Have you confirmed that the Garmin Connect credentials you are using work for logging into Garmin? https://www.garmin.com

Yes, I am using exactly the same credentials I use to log into my Garmin Connect... Very weird. Thanks for your reply.

In Garmin Express, check the Advanced option under General Settings to make sure the correct authentication domain is selected.

I managed to make it work. You won't believe how. When the dialog opened to enter my credentials I just clicked "cancel" and it started the synchronization. Very weird. Thanks for your tips.
