Download of Maps ridiculously slow. Speed test of laptop over 300 mbps but for maps 11.4 kbs

I've tried just downloading the map to the laptop and device, to the device only, to the laptop only. This is absurd. This is not an ip problem. I've checked it with multiple speed testers. I can't find a way to check the garmin servers, but am certainly suspicious of them.

I never had this problem before...

Which map? My CN map always downloads in around 30 minutes.

It was the U.S. Map. I eventually figured out how to delete everything on my device and start over. That worked. Before I did that I did check the storage of my device and it was only half used. I am now going to figure out how to use trip planning. I like to take back roads from Kilmarnock to Annapolis.
