New GPSMAP 64sx. I did install micro 32 chip in device.

New GPSMAP 64sx, using Garmin Express to update maps, gets stuck on preparing device. No progress past that point. I did install micro 32 chip in device first.

I did read a post online and tried this: remove the unit from Garmin Express and then add it back in. When I did that, everything went properly and the maps updated.
