Can't get past Product Registration Page

When I click Garmin Express App, it immediately changes my display to 800x600 (from 2560x1440) when opening. I then click Add Device, then Add Device again to choose devise that was found, then it gets stuck at Product Registration. I've tried changing to various resolutions but to no avail, I always end up at the top of the Product Registration page and can't see the rest of the page. Whenever Garmin Express App is started it ALWAYS changes my resolution to 800x600, which seems to be the problem. How do I get past this?

No, that fix doesn't work for me because my display resolution is 2560x1440, well above the required +800x600. The problem is, I can't start Garmin Express without it changing my resolution down to 800x600 on it's own. I have no control over this. And if I manually change the resolution back to 2560x1440 (or any other) while Garmin Express is still open, the Product Registration page remains stuck.

A longshot, but make sure your graphics driver is up to date. To check select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.

Other than what JohnfromPA already suggested, there might be an upper range of display resolution that the developers hadn't anticipated. I have no issues with 1920 x 1080. Try temporarily reducing the resolution to 1920 x 1080, then see if Garmin Express still tries to change the resolution to 800 x 600.

Drivers are up to date, and I tried the 1920x1080 suggestion (and also other resolutions) but Garmin Express insists on starting in 800x600. Frustrating.

I’m not at my Windows computer so can’t at the moment even check if this still exists in Win10 or Win11. But you might try right-clicking the executable, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab, and then select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings check box.

Thanks for this advise, it led me to the right place. Under Compatibility, run in 640x480 was checked. I unselected it and solved the problem.
