Not a question, but hopefully a cure for those that have had the same problem. My Garmin Touring kept saying "Map Update Available". After downloading it would say updates have been installed successfully. However...the very next time, it would say again "Map Update Available". Frustrating.
Seeing that I bought my unit in 2017 (refurbished) and it came on the market in 2013, I figured maybe the micro SD Card was about full. I guessed right. For under $17, I bought a new 32gb micro SD Card. Naturally, I had to reinstall the original maps from Garmin plus the updates. That took quite some time. But, it worked!
