I'm using an EDGE 705 with Garmin Express to install courses from CONNECT to the device. With the update from EXPRESS 7.20, the courses do not install on the device. The activity upload still works as usual. I see no reason in the release notes why this should change. I have managed to find V7.20, and this works in both directions.
There are always advantages to having the latest update. The sign-in is definitely more robust in 7.23. It would be great if future updates could once again allow the full function for the EDGE 705, while it still works as intended. In a way the long life is a resounding product success!
