Possible causes
Firmware error:
An error in the firmware can affect the behavior of the device.
Defective USB connection:

Firmware update:

Use a different USB jcable and test different USB ports on your computer.
Perform a soft reset:
Perform a soft reset by turning off the device and then pressing and holding the power button for 10-20 seconds until the device restarts.
Restore factory settings:
Reset the device to the factory settings:
Go to "Settings" > "Device" > "Reset" > "Factory Settings".
Update Garmin Express:
Make sure you are using the latest version of Garmin Express. Completely uninstall and reinstall the current version.
