Another post on Garmin Express with duplicate entries - unresolved issue

I get that glances and applications show up separately even though there's only one installer. I can live with that now I'm aware of what's going on (the display was too subtle for this to be obvious).

But the unresolved issue that others posts did not cover, is how the applications are double counted against the maximum allowed. Apparently I have bust my App budget with 44 of 32 installed. From a practical point of view, this means Garmin Express won't install new apps for me as I have exceeded a total, when in fact I am just under the maximum.

I can't be bothered to install the update if there's no hope this has issue has actually been recognised as a problem. The other posts appear to suggest there is no problem to be solved.

  • Your first image is I believe Garmin Connect and then you show Garmin Express.  I'm not sure I understand your issue but the current version of GE (Windows) is 7.23.0.0.  I think if I was in your situation I would uninstall whatever version I currently have (backup favorites) and then install the current version.

    That's my issue. Applications (including their Glances) should only count once so that I should have <32 installed. Then Garmin Express would not refuse to install more Apps, pretending I'm over budget.

    Thankfully the Android Connect IQ app does not behave this way.

    If this problem has not been recognised as an issue, then it won't have been fixed in the latest release. I'll just ignore the Windows App as a buggy and work around it.
