garmin drive 52 doesnt want to go into usb connection mode

Hi! I have this Garmin Drive 52 with me, and it has no maps installed, so I downloaded Garmin Expressm and plugged in my Drive 52, and on the display of the Drive it said "USB connection Detected. Entering file transfer mode (countdown)" and when I let it count down or when I press "Continue" it just reboots back to the main menu, like a USB connection mode boot loop. And it doesnt show up in my PC or Garmin Express. I've tried both front USB ports, a back USB port, a USB hub too. I even tried a MacBook (running Windows though), if anyone could help me, that would be great!

Why are there no maps installed? Is this a second hand device that you've purchased?

I got this from my grandfather, I assume the person who owned it before him erased it completely, the maps might of been installed on the SD card as it was missing too, i'm not too sure though

Afraid its unlikely then that anyone here can help. I suggest you call Product Support, explain the situation and give them the serial number on the back. They may be able to help.
