I was setting a route from Rye to Southampton and the route it suggested was via the M25 with all it's current road works. No way. The route I wanted was along the south coast but the only way I could do it was using shaping which was terrible. Every point I moved it kept trying to send me back to the M25. It also meant I had to select the roads myself which is the whole point of having a satnav.
On my old 10 year old Garmin, it calculated 3 routes in advance to choose from. I think they were quickest, shortest and economical. Is there no way this can be done with the new models?
