Garmin Express, Active Captain, Garmin website, SD cards, serial numbers... Why does using a Garmin plotter have to involve so many system that barely work together. Does wifi need to be on? Does Bluetooth need to be connected? Can I download the software on the PC? Do I need an SD card? This *** is so complicated the Intelligence Agencies could use it to prevent Customer from ever getting anything to work. I have been trying to get my plotter updated since October 2023 and some of the features have never worked, and still can't get my plotter off the basemap. Currently using cellphone to navigate new boat. If I had another option I would not ever choose Garmin.
