Can I update InReach Settings without a Smart Phone?

Can I change InReach settings (e.g. "Preset" or "Check-In" messages) without a smart phone?  I have made the changes on the explore.garmin.com website, but cannot get the website to sync the changes to my device.  It seems to imply that I need a smart phone (which I don't have).  I was able to do this without the smart phone when I purchased the 66i (a few years ago?), but cannot seem to do so now.
