GARMIN EXPRESS - INFO ABOUT UPDATE - UPDATE FAILURE

Hello Any Advice

How to be able to update Garmin Express to newest version on Win11, (Fairly new Samsung laptop).

It tells to update - when trying to update - updation not possible for this computer.

When trying to uninstall - it says - Uninstallaition not possible....

Any chance you are using Windows 11 "S" mode? To check go to Settings > System > About. On the About page, scroll down to the “Windows Specifications” section. If you see the words “in S mode” to the right of the Edition entry, you're using an S Mode PC.

Another thing to check is to make sure your PC is using .NET Framework. To check put "Turn Windows features on or off" into the search box (without the quotes) and then see if .NET Framework is enabled on the resulting screen. Enable all versions that are present. OK to exit out and reboot the PC then retest.

My fix for this OLD problem (<- link)

I do believe the links still work, but when you run the tool you can see that Microsoft is going to retire the tool.
(It still works on my machine )

I will have to come up with a new method once they really retire the tool.

The fun part is that each time I will try the regular update, hoping the issue is fixed, but each time I have to resort to this "fix".
