Express - Spectacular Failure & Negative Experience

This is at least the fifth or sixth time this has happened in the past two years.

Garmin Express v7.21.0.0 (most current) has crashed badly again, and ALL DEVICE DATA has been lost.

Reconnecting all of my devices, one at a time, and waiting for them to register and setup again will consume most of my entire holiday weekend, and more.

Express MUST be given profiles and backup options so when this happens it is easier to get back to a stable state.

How to restore previous stable data?

I used to be able to save and restore archived copies of the C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService directory, but that no longer works.

Now I am trying to update just ONE of my many devices (Montana 750i), which included a Map update, after nearly three hours, I get this message:

So attempt number two is now under way and it will be another two plus hours before I see the next result.

These download and transfer rates are horrific and just plain stupid slow by modern standards. (My internet is >50 Mbps)

Do you really expect your customers to dedicate 5+ hours to update a single device?

What about customers with multiple devices? One for each family member? They could waste an entire weekend trying to get them updated.

Not a good look.

Not a positive experience.
