I see a LOT of guys trying to figure out why their units won't update maps. You won't be able to, Garmin has pulled a fast one and bricked older units. Express won't allow communication with the SD. Your computer will see it as a drive, Express sees your unit too, but it won't allow communication with the SD. So in testing out what was going on, TWO 1490T's stopped taking updates and erased what maps I did have. I got the typical corporate bullsh*t double talk using corporate catch phrases like streamlining and optimization. It was insulting. So if you have an older unit don't try to update, just keep what you got.
