Error with Garmin Express or Oregon 750

Hi everyone

My first post.

Every so often I plug my Garmin devices in to update the maps, etc. The other day I plugged in my Nuvi, updated two bits, without any issue.

However, when I plugged in my Oregon 750t to update the software, to install two updates, I got the following message:

"There was an error installing the update". Nothing else mentioned.

My 750 has a SD Card in with the following folders: EULA, Garmin, GPUCache and SQL. 8.61 Gb used, 21.1Gb free

The device itself has these folders: DCIM, Garmin, HTTP and Saved Pics. 3.64Gb used, 3.54Gb free

I have rebooted both the 750 and my PC (Win11) and still get the issue.

I updated Garmin Express too.

Any thoughts on what I can try?

What behavior occurs if you attempt an update using WiFi? In that regard see WiFi update

Firstly, thank you for responding. It's appreciated.

I connected the 750 to my home Wi-Fi, plus connected via Bluetooth to my cell.

I can't see any behaviour (sorry, UK spelling) that would indicate updating of maps or system.

The software version on the Oregon is 6.0 The Garmin Connect is version 4.65.1
