remaining distance to checkpoint?

I am paddling in the Texas Water Safari in June and I have a GPX file that goes all 265 miles down the river from start to finish in the race and includes 10 mandatory checkpoints along the way including the finish line. Is it possible to load this into my 67i somehow so that it shows me how many miles we have until the next mandatory checkpoint/ finish line following the track? How can this be done? I am new to following a GPS track

Perhaps you can extract the needed info from the GPX file and make a route by following the content at 67i add a route. The online utility at gpx-to-lat long might be helpful in that regard.
