Updated version of Garmin Express on my PC will not recognize my new VivoActive5 watch. Help?

Brand new VivoActive 5 watch and cable.  Charging fine.  I don't have Smartphone, so Garmin Connect directed me to download Garmin Express onto my PC and use that app for set up.  Despite several attempts, including uninstall / re-install of Garmin Express, and confirming that Garmin Express is latest version, it still will not recognize the watch.   Any help appreciated.

  • I don't have a phone so need to use my PC.  Downloaded Garmin Express and confirmed it's latest version.  Watch connected to PC via cable and charging fine.  However, Garmin Express will no recognize the watch.  Help?  Thanks.
