Garmin Express  "There was an error installing the update" Fenix 6 Pro

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19045.4170] (The latest updates), free space - up to 60G

Garmin Express v.7.20.3.0. (launched by admin user)

Delete the device, restart PC and new device - does not help.

Is the any log to check this issue in more detail?

  • At the same time I do not see any problem with another device Garmin Zumo XT - works as expected.

  • Workaround:

    1) Connect Fenix to your PC;

    2) Open USB storage and delete "corrupted" files, in my case - 2 maps: D6184130A.img and D6185130A.img ~ 3GB each of them.

    3) Re-run your Garmin Express Update.
