I tried sync it in but it went to "check for updates..." and it has been doing that for 25 minutes.

Not seeing that, working fine. Try removing your device from Express then re-add it
Thanks, didn't realise it could be removed from Express. I did that, Express froze, restarted it and tried again and it worked! Updating as I write, so that's great thank you very much!
