eTrex 22x Garmin Express does not support this device. Please use Garmin Map Editor

Has there been any fix for this? All threads about this appear to be locked and without a solution.

Garmin Map Editor constantly shows error message stating "A connection to the server could not be established. Please ensure that you have a connection to the internet and try again."

Thank you for any support or direction that you can provide.

What are you trying to do, Garmin Map Editor isn't a Garmin product AFAIK.

I would like to use my Garmin Etrex 22x to geocache. The garmin site states to use Garmin express, but that does not support the etrex 22x. It then says to use the Garmin map editor. The garmin map editor continues to give a "connection to the server could not be established error. Now I have to find some other way to get geocache info onto my Etrex. it is frustrating

I still don't understand this. Do you have a link to this Garmin Map Editor? Is this a third party program? Installing geocaches is normally done via something like www.geocaching.com/play

Not sure if this helps but all Internet enquires for Garmin Map Editor returns links to Garmin Basecamp. Is this what he is referring to.

Possibly although BaseCamp doesn't require a 'connection to a server' which appears to be his issue.
