I've searched for several hours trying to find a solution to my issue with a Nuvi 2757LM--but nothing has worked. Since it is no longer supported by Garmin, I cannot ask questions on their site or chat with an agent. Windows 10 desktop PC
My Nuvi worked fine two months ago when I connected it to the computer but isn't recognized anymore.
This is what I've tried to no avail:
1)Tried four different USB data cables including the original Garmin cable
2) Tried five USB ports in the front and back of desktop computer.
3) Updated drives for all the USB hubs
4) Deleted and reinstalled Garmin Express
5) Reset/restore Nuvi 2757
Flash drives and external hard drives work fine with all the USB ports--just not the Garmin
6) Updated Windows 10
7) Installed and ran Intel Driver & Support Assistant
I've actually tried a lot more but I have a feeling nobody reads these posts anymore and I'm just wasting time. I'm pretty sure the issue resides within the Nuvi since I get two different error messages regardless of the cable I use--"USB device not recognized" and "the attached power cable cannot charge your device.." After years of being recognized and updating maps, I now just receive error messages and no help from Garmin.
If anybody has any suggestions (that actually work!), I'll buy them a beer in Albany, OR.
