Roads not showing after map update

First look in Settings, Map&Vehicle, myMaps. Is the map showing? Is it selected?

If not selected then select it.

If not showing its not installed. Use Express and reinstall the map.

Thanks for your response. My menu is a bit different (Settings -> Map -> Info) but I found the screen you are referring to. The map (CN Europe NTU 2024.20) is already selected with a green tick.

Ah yes, older devices had a different menu, so if the map is showing and ticked then something is wrong with it. Use Express and reinstall the map, that should resolve it.

After reinstalling the map, the issue persists.

The SD card has plenty of space, the device has been very well taken care of,  the connection cable I use is the original one from Garmin. The map installation process was not interrupted either. I'm running out of ideas what could be causing this.

Because the map has installed (sort of), and where I'm located appears to be in the correct place on this 'blank map', I don't think this is a hardware issue. It is really quite puzzling...

Three questions, if you select a nearby destination, do you get any form of an error message?  Are the smaller roads shown as part of the route?  Lastly, you say "the SD card has plenty of space"; what is the size of the card and just how much space is available?

John, your first question made me realize I hadn't tried to select any destination, I had only looked at my current location and wondered why nothing around me was shown.

But now we are onto something - trying to add an address, first of all it offers me the wrong country (I'm not in Ukraine), so I went ahead and selected my country (Hungary) only to find that it's not listed! But not only is Hungary missing but so are other European countries like Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece. At first glance it seems most of Southern and South-Eastern Europe is completely missing. From what I can tell all of Northern, Western and Central Europe is there. This is truly odd, up until the previous map version I had the whole of Europe covered.

This might explain why the map shows my location in the middle of nowhere.

How can this be fixed? This map was the only option offered in Express, the name of the map is just like any other I had previously downloaded over the years. Has the map suddenly changed and doesn't cover all European countries any longer?

To answer your other question, the SD card is 32 GB and currently has about 6 GB used.

Looks like then only part of the map has been installed. Exactly what does it say against the map check mark in Map Info? Does it mention CN EU North?

That's the issue then, it hasn't downloaded the South part, the map is split in two these days as the map is so large. 

Choose the option in Express that says change map and try to install the full map.

In Express when I go to Map Details it says:

Map: City Navigator Europe 2024.20

Then under Map Options:

Reinstall the map that is currently loaded on this device.

This is what I have done this afternoon, and it only re-installed the same map. I don't see an option allowing me to change or select a different map. Below the map options the only other thing is Install Map to Computer.

Where can I find the option to select the full map?
