Garmin Express and Windows 11 Pro

I have Windows 11 Pro and with the latest update my Garmin Express does not recognize the Approach S62 watch. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, when the watch is plugged in it shows charging and goes to 100%, but when I do the install it asks me to plug in my device which is plugged in. I have contacted Garmin and they are sending me a new charging cord but I do not think this is the problem, does anyone have a suggestion.

  • The charging cable is the typical place to start. Although, it sounds like the issue was caused by updating to version 7.18.3. I assume they also had you try a different port on your computer or a different computer?

Otherwise, you could uninstall then install an older version of Garmin Express. Found on your computer located at C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Application\

If the problem has only occurred since upgrading then the cable is unlikely to be the culprit.  Know that for many Garmin devices there are two different types of cables, one charges and carries data, the other just charges.  If the cable is the one that came with the device then it should do both but if it is a third party cable it might be charging only..
