Why is there no monochrome option on Garmin Express for colorblind people?

My husband is red-green colorblind, as are 8% of adult men. We use car GPSs, currently the Drive 52 and Nuvi 40. He does not see the pink line and is forced to look at distance to next turn, e.g., 400 ft rather than just looking at the map. I have been writing to Garmin for 20 years about this. There are 4 different types of color blindness, but red-green (deuteranopia) affects most. If the map had shades of white, gray and black, that would cover every type of color blindness. On your next software release, please consider a monochrome option. Thanks!

  • The pink line has nothing to do with Express or the map, it's a device issue, so closing comments here.  You could try making your suggestion here www.garmin.com/.../

Note you can change map themes on your Drive, see Settings, Map&Vehicle, Map themes.  You may find choosing another one helps.
