“Not supporting W7” noted, pls offer 7.17.3 w/o a constant reminder to upgrade

I guess the subject is clear.

I mean it is OK that we W7 users will be stuck at 7.17.3, but why to punish us with a reminder popping up at every run of GE to upgrade to a newer version which would not work for us with a very high probability.

Would it be too much to request the removal of this sw update check from this last W7-compliant  version which was kindly uploaded for us?

  • Btw adding my watch to this GE 7.17.3 and/or syncing it with GE makes an automatic, unwanted change in the language setting of my watch from English to the language of the country set in GE.

And funnily it happened only to Enduro, not with F6X, nor with Edge 530, so this auto-change seems to affect only the primary wearable, primary training device.

And it has nothing to do with Windows 7, which is an English version in my case.

  • I'd also like a forced install option to put it over 7.18.x instead of uninstalling and losing all settings and devices.

Can't seem to find a hidden option for that.

I'm going to have to pull out a backup and restore it.

    What a mess.

The crash problem with 7.18 vs windows7 is so stupid, it's like they have a new developer who is too lazy to be bothered to only use fully compatible API calls.

The constant FIT delete that has happened now with two releases is also unacceptable, how does that even pass quality control.

  • Garmin Express 7.17.3 should no longer prompt to update.  If the application still does, please contact Product Support.

    Thank you.
