Express is stuck on Preparing Device for Map Update... Large memory card inside, so not a problem of room...

Please could I have some help as to how I can move forward, taking the above into account? Windows 11 on a powerful processor, so not that side either. Sync is fine too.

Thank you for trying to help. However, still stuck big time. None of those solutions helped. 90% of them I had already tried. Any further help, please?

Please can I have some further help, since the suggested article did not help. I have a 32GB card in the unit (maximum allowed), full of maps that need updating according to Express, yet it won't do it!

With the Edge disconnected, open GE, use the run as administrator option if available. Then click the settings icon at the top and under "General Settings" make sure all options are unchecked. Shut down GE in the normal manner. Reboot the PC, then open GE again, then reconnect the Edge and retest.

By the way when you say you have a 32 GB card and it is "full of maps", where did those maps come from (are they for the Edge) and is there at least 10GB free space available on the card?
