Notified by Garmin Express that course updates are available but they are too big to fit on the device.

Anyone know what files to delete to get the updates on?

    Make sure that any recent scorecards have synced to your account. 

    Then from the device drive in File Explorer (if using Windows PC) or in Finder (if using MacOS) access the GARMIN folder > Check the Scorecards folder > Delete any .FIT files from the SCORE folder. Then go back, and check the ACTIVITY folder > Delete any .FIT files accumulated from there. 

    Then disconnect the watch, and reconnect to see if the updates will then install through Express. 

    If that does not work, re-open the GARMIN folder > Delete any files starting only with the letters GMAP for the files listed below the folders when you first open GARMIN > Once you have deleted the GMAPS, disconnect the watch from the computer > Allow for the watch to reboot, and then reconnect to Express and you should then be able to install the updates after select the region needed when prompted.
