Why can't I download maps etc?

Simple questions really..

1) why does express need 22gb of storage for 11gb map?

2)why can I not just download the maps and install later?

3)why has the topo active gone from 2 maps to ONE huge map?

I have a F5x and will have to uninstall ALL my maps just to install the whole damn map. when I need is the parts that covers UK/western Euro.

I have a 5x and it has enough storage 14.4gb of it see scree shot (ugnore free space as reinstalled all my other maps.. May apologies for the confusion on 100gb of pc storgae...

But even with 12gb as you stated, the map is 11.25gb and I had removed EVERYTHING so there was enough space... But then the actually original 2020.30 map and the 2022.10 verisons of active topo came as TWO maps and allowed the downloading of one or both parts .... as a result there was NO issues

AN UPDATE TO EVERYONE

Garmin Tech Support have confirmed too me that TopoActive 2023 WILL and SHOULD install on the 5x Range of watches.

They traced the issue to a fault of the watch storage and as a result I am now waiting for a FREE replacement 5x..
