I can't get my Garmin nuvi 50lm 2d6190854 to connect to my computer (windows 11)

I was trying to update my maps and it started to connect but kept turning off. Then it just stopped connecting to the computer. I tried to reset my Garmin but now when it comes on it says there are no detail maps available. What can I do to fix this problem?

Perhaps a stupic question on my part, but do you have a microSD card installed? Preferably one of about 16GB but not bigger than 32 GB. If you have a card installed does Windows Explorer see it?

If it kept turning off then it's likely a battery issue. Give it a good charge for 24 hours then try again.

hi,

same here with older devices

newer device FR965 no problem

go figure

removed older devices from GE

adding them back all fail

there was a problem connecting to the garmin servers
