Garmin Express 7.17.3 shows as latest version but download fails

The direct download is now fixed and delivers version 7.17.3. For any continuing issues, please contact Product Support.

and current manual download is 7.17.2

My install failed also from inside Garmin Express and release notes above says 100% of users can download it from garmin website but it has 7.17.2.0 on it.

Not what I'm seeing?

Just auto-updated (having been prompted upon launching) to this version and all went as normal.

I am using windows 10 home version 22H2 with latest updates and mine did fail again loading from Garmin Express app. And release notes says 100% of users can get it from downloading it from garmin website and version 7.17.3.0 is not there so there must be something wrong with new version as 7.17.2.0 is only thing available to download there.

W10 22H2 here and 7.17.3.0 installed and running OK.

As for the download failing through the application, in order to research this further, we need more information than can be obtained through forums. Please contact Product Support to report the issue.

I don't think it ever was 'auto ticked'. That would be nice though.

Did you check whether unticking it results in Express not being automatically started as a background app on startup of the PC?

Mine downloaded just now without issue. It didn't reselect keep Express running in the background either.

In my experience, GE running in the background has been the default after updates for many years. And to many, myself included, there is little reason to have background operation enabled. Startup of GE is a few seconds either way. If Garmin feels the need to have it running, it would be great if they shared the reason why. Having said that, GE does not use a lot of memory.
