Garmin Express v7.17.0 could not be installed

I'm trying to uninstall 7.6.13 but it won't uninstall (i.imgur.com/GBUizWG.png + i.imgur.com/WhDmirU.png)

If your 7.6.13 version still runs, open GE and go in and disable the option to keep GE running in the background. Then reboot your PC and update GE with the built in capability (click on the "gear", then "About", then check for updates.

Unfortunately, this did not help.

Perhaps the reason is that I am using an insider version of Windows (I also reported this issue to MS).

I wonder if the Garmin Express installer writes logs and where they can be found.

Clarify what you mean by an “insider” version of Windows? I also think that if your 7.6.13 ran on what you call and insider version, then the most likely update should also run.

On logs, go to https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=ojCrbmxc9d7HawZ8tMsJA6. Once there scroll down to where it addresses manually collecting the logs.

As for the logs, thank you! I will try to contact support and provide them with these logs for analysis.

Well, I knew of the “insider” program, just my mind wasn’t going there as I’ve never used it! That could very well be the issue since most software is designed to go out and check the OS, then make an appropriate installation. Two things to try, and I would do one at a time, reboot and retest then try the 2nd suggestion. First thing would be to make sure you have the proper .NET framework that GE needs. 2nd suggestion, if the insider version has the means, can you do some form of compatibility install and select Windows 10?

I'm a pretty advanced user. And I have a complete set of all the drivers and system software of the most recent versions.
