Music playlists from windows 11 pc have disappeared in garmin express.

Music playlists (m3u files created by me- not as part of iTunes or another service) stored in a folder on my windows 11 pro pc that were displayed previously in garmin express are suddenly no longer viewable.  Playlists already transferred to my watch are displayed. Music files are displayed (both from pc and on my watch).  Suggestions?

  • Was this an in place upgrade to Windows 11 or a fresh install? In a fresh install of Windows 11, playlists are typically saved in the folder C:\Users\<user name>\Music\Playlists. At least that's where Windows Media Player will save playlists I've created. This is a change from Windows 10, as Groove Music created zpl (originally zune playlist) files and buried in a different folder.

Have you tried refreshing the music library?

    Running Garmin Express Version 7.16.3.0

And verifying Garmin Express is looking in the correct location on your PC?

Defaults should be Downloads and Music, but you can change it.

If you make any changes, do another "Refresh Library."
