Unable to update maps to v2024.10 on windows 11 laptop after updating Garmin Express to v7.16.1.0

No help to you, but I'm having exactly the same problem with my Nuvi 2599 under Windows 10, which suggests it's a garmin Express issue rather than Windows 11.  I'm going to find an older version of GE and install that, prevent it upgrading and see if the older version can install the maps.

Update - version 7.11.1.0 doesn't work either.  Maybe it's a problem with the map file itself.

Map has installed fine for me

Delete the new 7.16.1.0 version.
Install 7.15.0 version.
When GE prompted to update maps.
Click the line to see the details of the proposed installation.
Run the installation of each application (if any) or map region separately.

I had tones of problems after upgrading to v7.16.1.0 that forced me to remove GE completly, clean the registry, and then clean install v7.16.1.0 again. After that GE did not want to register my devices even after crating a firewall exception.  As a last resort I downgraded to v7.15.0.0 and everything - registering devices, maps update worked fine.  From this experience I would say there is a problem with the latest upgrade. As a resolution try to downgrade - I got the previous v7.15.0 version at uptodown.com (https://garmin-express.en.uptodown.com/windows/versions) but probably you can find other sources.    

uninstalled, cleaned registry as well as I could, installed 7.15.0.0 and still no better.  If I could I'd reformat the drive on the Garmin, but fortunately I don't think I can.

The updated Garmin Express (7.16.2.0) fixed it for me too.  Well done Garmin.
