Why can I only “View Detail” on my older devices and not the newer ones?

Edge 1030/Fenix 6 View Details is available without the unit connected as well as connected.
Edge 1040/Epix 2 View Details are not available when the unit is not connected. When the unit is connected, the unit syncs/updates preventing the viewing of available updates. The exception is if an update(s) can not be handled during the initial sync/update process then those updates may be viewed and accepted as desired.

I agree with you, Inconsistent programming policy.

This is the same for Venu 2 + (which you can view details ) and edge 1030 + (which you can not view details) Its annoying.
