Fenix 7 and Garmin Express - Updates only shown in detail when fenix is connected

With Garmin Express (latets version) I can see the number of available updates and can click on them in order to see what kind of updates they are. That works both when device is connected and not connected.

I have four devices registered in Garmin Express, but only the fenix 7 does not allow me to see the update details when the watch is not connected. I had a fenix 7 solar before and experienced the same. It works correctly with a edge 1000, edge 830, fenix 6 pro and forerunner 245M.

Any idea if this is a bug and an update of Garmin Express is necessary?

I don't have a Fenix of any type but wonder if the reason it doesn't show updates is it is wireless update capable and thus GE may not know the device status.

Also, just taking the wording "Garmin Express provides the ability to check for software updates automatically each time the device is connected to a computer." at face value, it would appear it may need to be connected (I've added the underlining). G Express V 7.15.2.0 (though applicable to previous versions)

Why is it that when you have "items to install" you CANNOT view details but have to plug in device which then syncs and install whether you want it or not.

It would be benefical if we could see what is to install in order to determine if we need to plug device in.

PS Works perfectly in Venu 2 plus windows, but not in Edge 1030 + windows

Exacrly the issue I'm faced with. I want to see what updates are available and why is this device-specific? That does not make any sense
