Forerunner 945 connection issues with Garmin Express

Hello,

Since a few months I'm no longer able to connect my Garmin Forerunner 945 with my Garmin Express. I've tried reinstalling Garmin Express & completely reset the watch to factory settings but none of it seems to work. 

After going through some of the other forum threads I've noticed people talking about the driver settings of the watch. When I navigate to the device manager and the Forerunner 945 portable device I see that the installation and migration are in complete (cf attached image). 

Device USB\VID_091E&PID_4C29\0000c81258a7 requires further installation.

Device settings for USB\VID_091E&PID_4C29\0000c81258a7 were not migrated from previous OS installation due to partial or ambiguous device match

Can somebody help me with steps on how to resolve this issue ?
