Express won't allow sign in

Windows Version 7.13.1.0

Won't allow sign in. Just reloads sign in page. This issue has happened before as there is some reply's to it. But the forum discussion is locked. And way too old.

I don't have windows 7 or 8 or 11.

Luckily andoid connect works. But if my phone crashes....

Please help

  • Can you provide a bit more detail on what you are attempting to accomplish?  “Luckily android connect works” makes me wonder.

  • Detail!! Attach my sport watches to wondows 10, with the charging bases. Previous versions of garmin Express, would upload the data. Now, when I check with my garmin web page, I see the data (within the watch) has not been uploaded. I open express, I see thec watch has been recognized by Windows. Click the icon for the watch, a popup with login request shows up. I enter my info, click submit. Page refreshes with the login request. Then repeat the process.  It's a never ending result. Yes it's the same email and password I've used for years.

I have to get my phone, open the farmin app. And guess what.. it uploads. My issue, phone will crash. It's only a matter of time. i want express to work as soon as I plug the watch in

  • There is someone else having issues with a Fenix 7, one of the models that can store music.  The person has a lot of music on the device, but Garmin Express takes something like 18 minutes to load.  I could see where something like that 18 minutes could seem like a crash on the part of GE, not just a slowdown.  Now the individual removed a bulk of the music files, and GE opens in about 4 minutes so this supports some issue with the behavior of GE with his Fenix.

So a question to you; is your device also a Fenix 7 and do you have a lot of music files stored on it?

  • I had the exact same problem yesterday. A workaround is that after you sign in and then get the second sign in pop up screen, look above that screen at the top of the Express screen behind it. If you see there that your device has actually connected, just click that screen to dismiss the sign in pop up screen that keeps reappearing. I decided to reinstall Garmin Express, however, and for now that seems to have resolved my isssue.
