Can I delete old version/data folder of city navigator from Hard drive?

I know that the Garmin s/w is not so great at cleaning up after its self....

My problem is slightly different ... (and I'm no expert here):

My only Garmin at this point is a 595LM - and I only have the current mapset in my download folder and (hopefully) installed on the device.

myMaps reports:

CN North America NT - 2023.20 All Canada and Mexico

CN North America NT - 2023.20 ALL US

CN North America NT - 2023.20 FourSquare

North America DEM

But I stumbled over a related folder that appears to have downlevel maps in it.

I have owned a number of Garmin devices of the years so that could explain the folder below.

For now I ONLY have my Zumo 595LT so ... it is safe to delete this folder?

    That's normally the folder that contains the downloaded map that BaseCamp uses and is only populated if you choose the option to install map to your PC. If you use BaseCamp that needs to remain.

    Check the contents at C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Map.  Each of the maps that you may find there are typically just short of 7 GB (yes, GB !!!).  They can be removed, although I generally keep the last one, which for me is Map_Map.NA.2023.20.  Once you remove them, don't forget they may be in the Recycle Bin and that needs to be emptied to actually regain the hard drive space.

    Some other areas to check to regain some storage space include the following:

    In the folder C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Application there are folders named Application_Application.express-windows 7.1.4.0 or something similar. Each of those folders are 112 MB.

     In the folder C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Firmware there are folders named Firmware_Firmware.006-B19948.00.8.80 or something similar. Each of these folders is about 83 MB. I had 40 of these folders, for a total of 3.3 GB!

    I am not using Basecamp at the moment and ... since that map is downlevel I'll kill it...
    I'm also made some notes so that I can make it a habit to clean up after Garmin  ...   ;-)

    I had obsolete junk I didn't need in all three of the places you highlighed!
