Whenever I open Garmin Express, it closes down after a few seconds, with it remaining in the system tray for a few more seconds and then it closes down. I first had a problem where my old version, having done an update, did open, but when I added my DriveSmart 65, it took me to a registration page where it had no options to go further. It only had the home option, which took me back to Adding my device again, which again took me to the registration page..... An infinite loop.
I then uninstalled, Express via the Windows 11 Control Panel, and reinstalled my original old version. Now, even it will not remain open after clicking it. So I then downloaded the latest version from Garmin.com, installing it with the same problem.
Now, uninstalling Express and checking remnants of what remains of Express, I find tons of old versions under my OS/User folder, in addition to them in the registry under the "Dependencies" folder, to include everything from 5.7.0.0 to 7.13.1.0.
It seems there is some remnant of an old version, that is closing Express when I try to open it, regardless of the version I have installed. Is there a means to cleaning out everything relative to Express and starting over, or at least getting it to work.
Note: This is not relative to the maps, as I know how to remove those I do not want. Thanks,
