Venu 2 and Windows Express

Hi

I have been using my Venu 2 for about 9 months, one day it stopped being connected to Express. Express cannot find the watch.

I don't have a cell phone or tablet to connect with.  I contacted Garmin chat line, I was told to try testing it another computer, the other computer did recognize the watch. I can't use the other computer to install Express on because it a works computer and they don't allow it. There must be something that has changed in Windows through an update because it was working fine about until a month ago.

Garmin chat line sent me new cable but that didn't help. They sent me new divers, that didn't help. Does anybody other suggestion to try?

  • Just on a whim, because I had something similar, right click the Garmin Express icon and then in the drop down menu select Troubleshoot Compatibility.  In my case for months on end Express would rarely run; perhaps 1 out of 10 times.  I decided to do the compatibility check and it runs consistently.  My Windows 10 reported it was compatible with Windows 8 and I let Windows use that option.  I never determined why this happened; the Dell laptop can factory new with Windows 10 and is about 2 years old.

This action can be reversed if need be..

  • Thank you for the response.

I tried, did the Windows 8 then loaded the Express, it opens in, add device. I click on it and it look for the watch but doesn't find the watch.

      Thanks for the try
