Forerunner 110 connects but will not sync with Garmin Express

My Forerunner 110 has been sync'ing with Garmin Express every few days.  Today, it shows "Connected" to garmin experss, but I get the error in a red banner:  "There was an issue syching with Garmin Connect" on the Garmin Express main page.  I am running Windows 10 which is up date.  I am running Garmin software version 2.70 (up to date).  I have rebooted the Windows machine and retried.  I have tried 2 different USB ports.  Could you offer any suggestions?  Thanks.  It is a great product.
