nuvi2598 Problem with Text Language

When you say you were 'making space' you must have deleted the relevant files, American text language is the default and is hard wired in so cannot be deleted. Note language files are different to the text language files, which is why loading them has no effect.

Yes I’m sure I have. Is there a download available for ‘Text Language Files’.

After connecting via Garmin Express and the using the file explorer in windows 10 I can see a ‘Text’ folder on the Internal Storage drive which is empty. 

What language do you need?

Do you not have a copy of all your original files?

British English, French and Turkish are the ones I am looking for.

No - I was following a ‘chat’ I had had with Gamin Support who told me to delete all the language files etc that that I wasn’t using. I hadn’t realised that I had deleted ones I needed. I’ve been through my recycle bin but they aren’t there.

I have these files for a 2597LMT-D. But these should work exactly the same. For that you would have to give me an email address. Then I could send them to you and you move them into the folder "Text".
