Sync failure

So like many others yesterday all my activities 'disappeared'. Today I upgraded to 7.13.1.0 and today's activity is still there. 

I undeleted the activities using a disk recovery tool. They are all visible (via Windows File Explorer) but now when I sync with GE I get an error "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect". Have I screwed up some indexing somewhere when manually copying them back? Anything I can do to resolve?

  • Were the activities not already synced with Garmin Connect? The previous GE was deleting from the device, but if you've already synced with Garmin Connect, what exactly are you attempting to do? Put the files back on your Garmin device or re-sync the same files to Garmin Connect?

    Also, Garmin typically doesn't take the undelete process well and frequently you end up with a corrupt file. If you post a sample fit file here, we can try to recover it.

    • Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
    • Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDriveGoogle DriveDropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
