I have been unable to update my Nuvi 2460 for about 1 year. Garmin support says that they no longer repair or support my device.
Express could not find the device but windows could and I could see and copy files from explorer.
I finally discovered that the file "GarminDevice.xml" was corrupted.
I found some internet tools to help me repair the file. I replaced the corrupted file with the repaired one on the Nuvi.
It now connects and updates!
So maybe my 2460 will live on for a few more years!
