There was a problem connecting to Garmin servers. It's not possible to sign in because our servers are currently unavailable.

I've got the same problem (just updated to 7.12.00). I have tried with 2 devices: garmin edge 500 and garmin forerunner 45. The devices are seen with no problem, but then when trying to connect, I always get the message saying it's not possible to sign in because the servers are not available for the moment.
This looks rather than a bug than a server issue, because when I try to sign in with the same account for the boat (just to try), it manages to successfully sign in.
This bug is very annoying, garmin please help!
Same here..... I did Install on the laptop of my doughter and everything on that laptop it is fine....
On my laptop I got the error of the missing server.....

Give this a try...I had some intermittent issues that just never seemed to be resolved. I decided to right click the executable at C\Program Files (x86)\GarminExpress\Express.exe and then selected "Troubleshoot compatibility." Windows 10 (latest) found an issue and ultimately selected to run the file in compatibility mode for Windows 8. At least for about a dozen or so attempts, GE seems to start without any issues.
